Principles and objectives
- Each WG consists of Chairperson, Co-Chair, Rapporteur, and invited experts.
- Reach consensus recommendations on difficult or conflicting approaches to genotoxicity testing.
- Consensus is driven by data, taking all views into consideration, but in a spirit of compromise (where possible), or defining new areas of research and data-gathering if consensus cannot be reached.
The product
- In the final wrap-up session at IWGT each group reports back on achievements.
- These reports are refined and presented at the main ICEM meeting … and other meetings.
Full reports are published usually in a Special Issue of a relevant peer-review journal.
Chair, Co-chair and Rapporteur of each WG are responsible for coordinating the preparation of the manuscripts.
The IWGT Steering Committee act as reviewers and provide support for any questions.
