The registration website for IWGT 2026 (International Workshop on Genotoxicity Testing) is now open.
IWGT 2026 will take place from 1–4 September 2026, ahead of ICEM, in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. The workshop will bring together international experts for focused, high-level discussions on key scientific and regulatory developments in genetic toxicology.
The programme will address several critical and timely topics, including:
-
Liver Micronucleus Assay: Advancing tissue-specific genotoxicity assessment and moving towards an OECD guideline
-
Critical aspects of OECD Test Guideline 489: Refining protocols to improve reliability of in vivo Comet assay studies, including guidance on handling inconclusive/positive results
-
Risk assessment of aneugens: Improving evaluation of chromosome-damaging agents
-
Statistical tests for trend: Strengthening and contextualising data interpretation methodologies
-
Quantitative Genotoxicology 3.0: Opportunities, challenges and perspectives for quantitative dose–response evaluation
-
Error-Corrected Sequencing (ECS): Developing expert, referenceable guidance for regulatory applications
-
Strengths and limitations of in silico / QSAR approaches: Formalising use cases and restrictions, bridging towards a potency-based approach
